Drumgrange announces the development of STANAG 4724 compatible VLF Modulator

September 2015

Drumgrange has announced the development of STANAG 4724 compatible VLF Modulator incorporating the latest state of the art technology, the VLF Modulator can be seen for the first time at Drumgrange's stand at DSEI in 2015.

The development and associated product will open the way for full implementation of the new VLF STANAG 4724 and provide both NATO and closely allied nations an upgrade path for partial or full future REM mode implementations.

George Howe, Drumgrange Managing Director, stated:

"This development solidifies Drumgrange's position within the VLF/LF domain and shows our commitment to both existing and prospective customers by continue to develop products in what is a very niche and highly specialised technological area. This unique product will provide increased capabilities, both now and in the future, for NATO, closely allied nations and other National VLF/LF programmes".

Drumgrange has been actively involved in VLF Submarine Broadcast Strategic Communications since the 1980s having developed bespoke items of equipment that span the entire VLF Communications chain from headquarters, transmitter sites, to the submarine platforms. We continue to support, refine and refresh those systems via long term contracts with National Governments, NATO and Prime Contractors.
