Drumgrange delivers Diamond Communication Systems to Land Rover BAR

Drumgrange is delighted to announce the delivery of the Diamond Intercom and Radio Combiner System together with the Diamond Wireless Intercom System to 2017 America's Cup challengers Land Rover BAR.
The bespoke hybrid intercom system will provide communications both On Board and between the Race Yachts and their Support Craft during the Americas Cup taking place in Bermuda in June 2017.
Originally intended for use by Coast Guards, Small Boat Patrols and Special Forces, Drumgrange's Diamond Systems have been designed for high speed transit in harsh maritime environments.
Rugged, robust and waterproof equipment is essential in the high pressured conditions of both Coast Guard operations and the adrenaline fueled intensity of competitive racing. The Diamond System is therefore perfectly suited to the performance requirements of the Land Rover BAR Team.
Drumgrange and Land Rover BAR have worked closely together to create a bespoke Diamond system meeting the precise requirements of the Land Rover BAR Team to ensure clear, reliable communications during the rapid paced, high pressured races in which every second counts.
Yacht Racing Teams work hard to design their vessels to be as lightweight as possible hence another important factor for the Land Rover BAR Team was the all up System weight. Diamond has been designed to be as compact and lightweight as possible with the heaviest component weighing just 2kg.
